Michigan's John Beilein Agrees
to Coach Cavaliers Beilein will sign a five-year contract
to become the head coach of the
Cleveland Cavaliers, according to ESPN. Beilein acknowledged that he was leaving the University of Michigan on Monday morning. John Beilein, via Twitter Beilein led Michigan to two Final Fours and
four Big Ten tournament and regular-season
titles over the past 12 seasons. Beilein will replace Larry Drew as the
head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs finished with a 19-63 record in their first season since LeBron James left for the
Los Angeles Lakers in free agency. Cleveland has a 14% chance at winning the draft lottery for the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
