Enough of playing race and religion issues for politics, Dr M tells PAS and Umno

Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad told PAS and Umno to stop playing racial and religious issues for their political interests.

In his televised speech yesterday in conjunction with Pakatan Harapan's first anniversary in power he said that those who had lost in the last general election were stirring up racial and religious issues to evade prosecution.

He said their struggle, which is purportedly to defend the Malays and Islam, is nothing more than an effort to defend robbers who are hoping that if this government falls, their charges would be dropped and they would not be held responsible for the sins committed and damage inflicted.
