ఫొని తుఫాను సృష్టించిన బీభత్సం కనీవినీ ఎరుగని నష్టం మిగిల్చింది. ఒడిశాను అతలాకుతలం చేసిన తుఫాను కోలుకోలేని దెబ్బ తీసింది. ఫొని కారణంగా పూరీలోని 12వ దశాబ్దానికి చెందిన ప్రసిద్ధ పుణ్యక్షేత్రం జగన్నాథ ఆలయం స్వల్పంగా ధ్వంసమైంది. ప్రధాన కట్టడానికి ఎలాంటి ప్రమాదం వాటిల్లనప్పటికీ తనిఖీలు నిర్వహించాలని ఆర్కియాలాజికల్ సర్వే ఆఫ్ ఇండియాకు ఆలయ అధికారులు లేఖ రాశారు.
