Hoyt Wayne Axton was an American folk music singer-songwriter, and a film and television actor. He became prominent in the early 1960s, establishing himself on the West Coast as a folk singer with an earthy style and powerful voice. As he matured, some of his songwriting became well known throughout the world. Among them were "Joy to the World", "The Pusher", "No No Song", "Greenback Dollar", "Della and the Dealer" and "Never Been to Spain". In this episode Mr Axton performs the popular singles "Boney Fingers", "Evangelina" and "Wild Bull Rider" from the 1980 album release "A Rusty Old Halo" and lastly the smash hit "Joy to the World" which held the US No. 1 position for six weeks.

Jeannie C. Riley is an American country music and gospel singer best known for her 1968 country and pop hit "Harper Valley PTA", became both a Billboard Country and Pop chart number one hit. In this episode Riley performs this hit record along with the album title track "Total Woman" released in 1984.
