The Crickets, formed by Buddy Holly in the 1950s, were a successful rock and roll band, performing in the 50s and also releasing new material in the 21st century and even being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.

"Peggy Sue" was written by Buddy Holly, Jerry Anderson and Norman Petty and released in 1957. It was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.
