The organisers of a half-marathon in Triste, Italy, have announced that they are reversing their previous decision to exclude African athletes. They claimed that the initial choice to only allow Europeans to run was made in order to highlight the exploitation of African athletes. However, after facing widespread criticism and even accusations of racism over the issue they have now lifted the ban.
