Its been a day of dramatic developments for Congress president Rahul Gandhi who is in the news for all the wrongs reasons. The home ministry after 4 phases of polling are complete has decided to seek clarification from Rahul Gandhi on whether he is Indian or no despite Rahul Gandhi being a 3 time member of parliament, being born and raised in India. Rahul's documents have been scrunisied threadbare in the past and as recently as last week when the returning officer in Amethi found no discrepancy in them... so while the premise of the notice is Subramanium Swamy's complaint of 2015 in which no action was taken till now. What’s extaordinary is the timing of home ministry's decision which comes 6 days before Amethi goes to poll .and in the midst of lok sabha polls 2019. So what is the truth about Swamy's claims? Did Rahul Gandhi really mention his nationality to be british and not Indian or was it an error in the UK documents from 2003 to 2009 in which case, could Rahul Gandhi face action in the UK for providing false information to the foreign office or is this yet another instance of vendetta politics.
