Sri Lanka will enter the ICC World Cup 2019 with a new skipper in Dimuth Karunaratne. The southpaw has not played any ODI cricket since the 2015 World Cup and it will be interesting to see how he catches up.The old warhorse Lasith Malinga will lead the bowling unit with support from Suranga Lakmal, Nuwan Pradeep. Sri Lanka is going through a transition period and will look to play their best cricket in recent times.

आईसीसी विश्व कप के लिए श्रीलंका ने अपनी 15 सदस्यीय टीम की घोषणा कर दी है। श्रीलंका ने लसिथ मलिंगा को कप्तानी के पद से हटाते हुए दिमुथ करुणारत्ने को कप्तान बनाया था और उसके बाद गुरुवार को 15 सदस्यीय टीम की घोषणा की। श्रीलंका क्रिकेट (एसएलसी) ने बुधवार को ही दिमुथ को कप्तानी सौंपी थी। चौंकाने वाली बात यह है कि 30 साल के करुणारत्ने ने विश्व कप-2015 वर्ल्ड कप के बाद से श्रीलंका के लिए एक भी वनडे मैच नहीं खेला है।
