Xi Jinping set out his vision for China’s Belt and Road Initiative and looked to dispel concerns that the global development scheme was skewed for China’s benefit in his keynote speech at the Belt and Road Forum in Beijing on April 26. Over 30 world leaders attended the forum, where they were expected to sign a joint communique on the final day of the three-day event.
