Study the outdoors at Hanifl Centre for Outdoor Education, Mussoorie
  • 5 years ago
Dedicated in October 2003, Hanifl Centre for Outdoor Education and Environmental Study was built to extend Woodstock's curriculum and provide a facility and programme where others can learn about the Himalayas. We intend to contribute to the sustainable development of the region by transmitting an appreciation and understanding of the Himalayan environment to future leaders from around the globe.

Programmes -
We strive to provide a variety of educational and environmentally conscious programmes to the students of Woodstock School and other visitors. A few of the programmes and services that we can organize and outfit include treks in the Indian Himalaya, village home-stays, service projects at our organic farm, rafting trips on the Ganges, group retreats, and our Gap Year in the Himalaya programme.

Facilities -
The Hanifl Centre is a very practical facility built with careful attention to environmental considerations. The building accommodates up to 32 in the dorms as well as having four double rooms with attached baths. There is also a conference room, resource library, dining room, kitchen, computer lab, campground and a trekking/camping storage room.
