Bulldozers crush their houses as slum dwellers watch, India
  • 5 years ago
Slum-life means living a tough life with little food and lack of hygiene, education, livelihood and other facilities in Delhi. But then slum dwellers move to Delhi because the government has not created sufficient opportunities in the hinterland and once here, they become the responsibility of the Delhi government which does not have resources to house and educate them and provide them with jobs and opportunities.

This view is now entirely obstructed by the Vardhman Mahavir Hospital on the premises of Safdarjung Hospital and the entire parking lot that you see here has been covered up with the new massive building. Delhi is a city in flux and constant change with moving populations, new buildings and constructions and a changing skyline.
