'So Many Answers': James Comey Tweets After Mueller Report Release
  • 5 years ago
James Comey tweeted after the Mueller report was released.

Following the Thursday release of special counsel Robert Mueller's report, former FBI Director James Comey tweeted: "So many answers."  The Hill reports, that appears to be a follow-up to a tweet he posted not long after Attorney General William Barr released his summary of Mueller's findings. It read: "So many questions."  The New York Times states that, in assessing his findings and compiling the report, "Mr. Mueller examined about 10 actions by President Trump to determine whether he sought to obstruct justice but could not reach a conclusion. He found a concerted effort by Russia to interfere in the 2016 election, but established no criminal conspiracy between Mr. Trump's campaign and Russia."  Trump, who has been saying that the report fully exonerates him, wrote in a Friday morning tweet: "Statements are made about me by certain people in the Crazy Mueller Report, in itself written by 18 Angry Democrat Trump Haters, which are fabricated & totally untrue. Watch out for people that take so-called 'notes,' when the notes never existed until needed."  "Because I never agreed to testify, it was not necessary for me to respond to statements made in the 'Report' about me, some of which are total bulls__t & only given to make the other person look good (or me to look bad)," Trump continued. "This was an Illegally Started Hoax that never should have happened."
