This is the First Image of a Black Hole

This is the first photo of a black hole taken with eight telescopes all across earth, in a collaborative effort called the event horizon telescope. This effort was monumental, and Dr. Feryal Ozel was one of the team members who’s work lead to developing the image of M87’s black hole.
