Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday laid a wreath at the Jallianwala Bagh memorial on the completion of 100 years of the massacre.The Congress president was accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and state minister Navjot Singh Sidhu, among others.

దేశస్వాతంత్ర్య పోరాటంలో ముఖ్య ఘట్టంగా నిలిచింది జలియన్వాలాబాగ్ ఊచకోత. 1919 ఏప్రిల్ 13న జరిగిన ఈ ఊచకోతలో చాలామంది భారతీయులు మృతిచెందారు. ఆ గాయం జరిగి నేటితో 100 ఏళ్లు పూర్తయ్యింది. ఈ సందర్భంగా పలువురు ప్రముఖలు నాటి చేదు జ్ఞాపకాన్ని తలుచుకుని ప్రాణాలు త్యాగం చేసిన వారికి నివాళులు అర్పించారు.
