A Chinese man has been arrested by police after changing the slogans on a hospital's LED screen to insult China.

In the video, filmed in Baoding City in northern China's Hebei Province on April 8, the slogans written in Chinese characters scroll on an LED screen above the door of the emergency department of a hospital.

The slogans translate to: "Overthrow Chinese imperialism, long life Japan, China’s supporters are dumb."

A security guard can be seen walking out of the lobby and warning onlookers not to film the sign.

The hospital unplugged the LED screen immediately and called the police.

The 31-year-old suspect named Li was caught and detained. The case was being investigated and no more details were known.
