'Potentially Historic' Early Spring Blizzard to Rock Parts of the US 200 million people could
be impacted this week. The blizzard may potentially leave over
24 inches of snow in parts of Minnesota. Areas in South Dakota could
see the same amount. Despite it being spring, the blizzard is being called, "Winter Storm Wesley." National Weather Service in Minneapolis, via statement According to forecasters, Wesley will also strike Kansas, Nebraska
and Wyoming. Once the snow melts, already flood-weary states in the north-central U.S. are expected to be impacted. Instead of snow, Iowa, Illinois and Indiana
will see heavy rain and winds. As will Kentucky, Missouri
and Tennessee. 90-MPH wind gusts will even reach
New Mexico
and Texas.
