Imagine being transported back to 1947 and after dinner, a Broadway show and a long walk on a dimly lit New York City street, you stumble into a basement joint that someone informed you was ‘hep’ and on a tiny stage is the one and only Frank Sinatra or Tony Bennett or Lena Horn or Nat King Cole, fresh from a sold out performance at a world class venue but now chilling ‘round midnight with the house pianist and double bass, calling songs that they really want to sing.
