Elizr (aka Elizabeth Varnado) is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Lexington, KY. Elizr plays violin, guitar, and sings in an indie-rock band, Lylak, and additionally plays with indie-folk duo, Ryvoli. Elizr draws influences from the classics: Dylan and Mitchell as much as Brahms and Bach. She is pursuing a PhD in musicology at the University of Kentucky, where she teaches a course on rock music history.
