In Phase I of 2019 Lok Sabha Elections 93 percent of the candidates are men and only seven percent are women. 53 percent of the candidates are from the 41 to 60 years age bracket and 49 percent have an educational qualification of graduation or above. On the wealth front, the largest chunk of 33 percent comes from the below Rs 10 lakh bracket.
