President Moon Jae-in will depart for Washington this Wednesday for the much anticipated summit talks with U.S. President Trump.
They'll meet on Thursday, Washington time.
A Blue House official says their main focus will be enticing the resumption of talks between Pyeongyang and Washington.
Take a listen.
"This summit is based on the need for both sides to consult with each other and revive the momentum for dialogue after the Hanoi summit. This time in the U.S., the President will continue his top-down approach and will look for concrete ways to achieve the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula."
The official went on to say that President Moon, prior to the summit, will be sitting down with Vice President Pence, Secretary of State Pompeo and National Security chief John Bolton, all separately.
Officially, Moon's talks with Trump are considered working-level.
Following the summit, President Moon is scheduled to leave Washington the same day.
