Over 900 foreigners enter Pyongyang’s annual marathon amid reduced tensions
  • 5 years ago
Around 950 foreigners have taken part in the annual Pyongyang marathon, taking up a rare opportunity to run through the streets of the North Korean capital. The number of participants had dropped in 2018 as the reclusive state launched a series of missile tests. But tour organisers said they saw more Western competitors returning to the competition on April 7, 2019, possibly because of reduced tension between the United States and North Korea.
