Trump Compares Asylum Process To Mueller Probe: 'I Know About Hoaxes'
President Trump held a media event on Friday.

President Trump has compared the asylum process to special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation, calling them both "hoaxes."
The president made the comment during a roundtable on immigration and border security in Calexico, California, Friday, saying: "I look at some of these asylum people--they're gang members. They're not afraid of anything. They have lawyers greeting them. They read what the lawyer tells him to read."
"They're gang members. And they say, 'I fear for my life.' They're the ones that are causing fear for life. It's a scam. Okay? It's a scam," Trump added. "It's a hoax. I know about hoaxes. I just went through a hoax."
After the audience laughed, Trump continued: "So our system is full. We're not taking them anymore. Okay? Can't do it. You can't do it. You know, you can go up to a point. We can't do it anymore."
Trump had threatened to close the U.S. border with Mexico entirely but has since warned that if the flow of illegal immigrants from the south continues, he will institute a stiff 25 percent tariff on cars as punishment.
