Brexit Deal: British PM Theresa May Requests European Union For Brexit Extension To June 30
  • 5 years ago
Theresa May is seeking a three month delay in Brexit. She has asked the European council president Donald tusk time until 30 June while she battles to win cross-party agreement on a way forward.
This is the same date requested by the UK government last month but was rejected by EU leaders in brussels. Unless a new date is signed off at an emergency EU(European Union) summit on Wednesday, Britain is due to leave without a deal on 12 April. In view of the uncertainty ahead European firms in UK are taking steps to protect their businesses. Several reports say that many businesses are planning to relocate.
