Tappa divisa in due parti ben distinte: la prima che comporta il periplo dell’Etna con l’ascesa fino ai 1000 m di Maletto (GPM). Segue una lunga parte a scendere sempre attorno al vulcano fino alla base della salita finale che inizia a Nicolosi. Da segnalare che nel finale di corsa sono presenti diversi attraversamenti cittadini con carreggiata ristretta e spesso su lastricato/basolato.
The final stage is characterised by two distinct sections: the first goes around Mount Etna reaching the commune of Maletto at 1,000m, site of the KOM. There starts a long descent, always around the volcano, until the onset of the final climb that starts in Nicolosi. Once near the race finale, the course goes along several narrow town roads.
