Brett Lee - The Smiling Assassin
His baby smile and music skills have won hearts across the globe, but make no mistake when Brett Lee ran up to bowl, there was nothing but incoming terror. B.Lee was born on November 8th 1976 in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia, and was nicknamed 'Binga'. He showed early promise as a teenager and was called for the Australian U-17 and U-19 side, and was also awarded a scholarship to attend AIS Australian Cricket Academy. Binga made his international debut against India. And, he did it with a bang! He claimed a 5-wicket haul on his debut and gave a sneak peek of his breath-taking pace. Australia had found its dream opening bowling pair with the pace of Lee and the accuracy of McGrath. Which was clear in the 2003 World Cup edition, when Lee was the 2nd highest wicket-taker and Australia won the cup without losing a single game. Although Lee's career was marked by injuries that didn't stop him from claiming 700 International scalps - 310 in Tests, 380 in ODIs and 28 in T20Is. He is also the first bowler in T20 cricket to take a hat-trick. After announcing his retirement from international cricket, Lee joined Channel Nine commentating team and he supports a number of charities.
