Fowl play: Russia's traditional geese fights

Every year people gather to watch traditional geese fights in the village of Kalikino some 450 km outside Moscow. About 50 birds take part in the tournament and up to 20 fights take place. The geese owners claim that this tradition has been here for several centuries and that the breed of fighting geese was preserved even during a time of mass hunger during World War II.
