How to Disable Hardware Acceleration in Google Chrome and Firefox?

What is Hardware Acceleration?

It means using computer's hardware for performing a certain task more efficiently than would be possible using a software.

For Google Chrome:

Step 1: Click on 'three dots' at the top right of chrome browser, and then click on 'settings'.

Step 2: Scroll down, and then click on 'Advanced', and then scroll down to advanced.

Step 3: Disable 'Use hardware acceleration when available' by click on toggle next to it, and then relaunch.

For Firefox:

Step 1: Click on 'three dots' at the top right of firefox browser, and then click on 'options'.

Step 2: Under General, scroll down to performance.

Step 3: Uncheck the option 'Use Hardware Acceleration When Available', and then close your firefox browser, and open it.
