Michael Gove was questioned by reporters on whether he wanted to be caretaker Prime Minister as he left a meeting at the Cabinet Office this morning. The Environment Secretary, who would not be drawn on the subject of leadership, answered the question by saying "no, I just want to get to my car". Mr Gove was tipped at the weekend as a possible temporary replacement for Theresa May. Report by Blairm.
