Ordinary citizens in Korea can buy LPG cars starting Tuesday: Trade ministry
  • 5 years ago
Up until now,... only a limited number of people were allowed to drive LPG cars in Korea,... including taxi drivers or the disabled.
However,... the trade ministry says, from Tuesday,... anyone with a driving license can buy and drive an LPG car.
This change comes after a Cabinet meeting last week...where officials thrashed out ways to tackle the fine dust crisis.
The ministry says...people can now freely buy and sell LPG cars.... or even remodel their diesel or gasoline-powered vehicles.
Data show the amount of nitrogen oxide emitted by gasoline cars is three times that of LPG vehicles.
