Fox News’ John Roberts: Trump ‘Glared At Me’ Like Never Before

John Roberts reported on Friday that President Trump “glared at me like I’ve never seen him glare at me before.”

John Roberts, a White House correspondent for Fox News, reported on Friday that President Trump "glared at me like I've never seen him glare at me before," notes The Hill.  He also said that the icy stare followed a Fox Business Network's interview in which Trump was pressed on his criticism of late Republican Senator John McCain.  Roberts was not the only one who noticed the look.  ABC White House correspondent Jonathan Karl wrote in a tweet: "Upset with Fox? Just now on the South Lawn, the President took questions from several reporters, but ignored @johnrobertsFox, avoiding eye contact with him until he started walking away and glared at him." Roberts replied: "It was a rather chilly March morning."  Trump generally has a very warm relationship with Fox News, but it showed signs of strain in the interview that was broadcast on Friday. Host Maria Bartiromo asked him why he continues to attack McCain.  Trump told her that she "wasn't supposed to bring it up" and commented, "That's okay, fake news every once in a while." "It's not fake news, you just told me why you have an issue with him," Bartiromo replied.
