On the outskirts of the capital Moroni, a rebel suburb is turning a blind eye to Comoros' presidential election, in protest over a local man who was shot dead by military police during a policing operation that went wrong. Locals say they won't block the election from happening but that they "are in mourning", but incumbent president Azali Assoumani says there's nothing more authorities can do.
