Stunning! Rare "equinox supermoon" rises over African savanna

The year's third and final supermoon has risen tonight (Wednesday) close to the moment of the March equinox.

A supermoon has not arrived this close an equinox since the year 2000 and won't do so again until the year 2030.

In the Northern Hemisphere, the equinox brings about the arrival of spring while in the Southern Hemisphere is ushers in autumn.

This clip was filmed in Kruger National Park in South Africa.

"It was a such a great experience watching this stunning cosmic coincidence out in the African bush," said the filmer.
