In Canada, some mums say cannabis makes them better parents despite doctors’ warnings

In many countries, cannabis or marijuana is illegal. Canada has become the second country in the world to legalise recreational cannabis. Tired of being stigmatised and hiding their cannabis use, hundreds of women in Canada welcomed the legalisation of the drug and formed support groups. They proudly say weed makes them “better mothers”. But numbers of doctors continue to warn cannabis can be harmful.
