Aerial footage captured on Sunday has revealed the scale of flooding in Nebraska in the USA.

"Fremont, Nebraska is basically an island with all the flooding surrounding the area," said the filmer.

"I was trapped there and pilots were giving free plane rides to the Omaha area. So, I took my first flight ever, which was about 20 minutes, on a tiny plane out of Fremont," he added.

"I captured this video fo Valley, Nebraska which is completely covered in water," he said.

Hundreds of homes have been inundated in several U.S. states after rivers breached at least a dozen levees as a result of heavy rain and melting snow in the region.
