Aspiring doctor Kiren Raj has apologised for making sexist and racist remarks online which has triggered widespread condemnation and a police report.

Kiren, 27, apologised publicly during an event organised by MCA public complaints bureau head Michael Chong.

Following the death of actress Emily Kong in a road accident on March 9, Kiren had shared his thoughts on the matter through Facebook and was widely condemned as being sexist and racist.

He also opined that doctors had a right to turn away patients based on their sexual orientation.
