David Nicholls is an English novelist and screenwriter most famous his 2010 Galaxy Book of the Year, One Day, which he adapted for the 2011 film of the same title.

Charles Dickens was an English writer and social critic living in Victorian London and the surrounding area. He wrote such enduringly celebrated works as The Pickwick Papers, Oliver Twist, Nicholas Nickleby, The Old Curiosity Shop, David Copperfield, Bleak House, Little Dorrit, A Tale of Two Cities and Great Expectations.
