Meghan Markle's 'Maternity Leave' Has Officially Begun Meghan Markle reportedly has "no official engagements" scheduled before the birth of her baby. The 37-year-old's last public appearance was Monday's Westminster Abbey Commonwealth Day service. The Duchess of Sussex is eight months pregnant and due in late April or early May. Buckingham Palace has not officially confirmed Markle's maternity plans. Although no public events are scheduled, the Duchess will attend attend several private meetings. Markle reportedly revealed to a friend that she is expecting a little boy.
