At least 40 people were killed and many others wounded in a mass shooting at mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand on March 15, 2019. New Zealand police said three men and a woman have been arrested in connection with the case. At least one of the suspects has been confirmed to be Australian-born. The city has been placed on indefinite lockdown after the attacks at the Al Noor mosque and Linwood mosque, where worshippers had gathered for Friday prayers.
