Lori Loughlin Released
on $1 Million Bond Loughlin appeared in federal court
on March 13 in connection with her role in a massive college admissions scandal. She is among 50 defendants,
including actress Felicity Huffman,
accused of cheating and committing bribery. Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo
Giannulli, reportedly paid $500,000
to get their daughters admitted
to the University of Southern California. Her two daughters were recruited by USC
for the school's rowing team, although neither
had ever participated in the sport before. Loughlin's $35 million home in California
was used to secure the $1 million bonds
for both her and her husband's release. She has been allowed to keep her passport to finish her current projects in British Columbia, but will be forced to surrender it immediately after. Loughlin is ordered to appear back in court
on March 29 in Boston, Massachusetts.
