Can India Use Boycotts To Pressurise China To Act Against Masood Azhar?

With China blocking our efforts to block Masood Azhar - boycott Chinese goods has been trending on twitter ever since. With Chinese import increasing by 68% in the last ten years - the big question which everyone's asking is that can we hurt the dragon economically to force them to act on terror. China is also heavily dependent on India when it comes to exports - as 80% of India's mobile phone are imported from china and as far as sectors like Pharma, fertilizers and transistors are considered India literally has a monopoly on the same as china exports over 20% products from these sectors to India. Remember, India has offered to open up 74% of its market to Chinese goods in phases but china is not satisfied with the proposal. However, even the current arrangement deals with risk of Chinese goods dominating Indian markets, which would further impact the trade deficit estimated at 63 billion dollar in the last financial year. Officials also acknowledged that India has little option other than to open up the market gradually with a long tariff phase-out period so that Indian players have time to adjust to the competition.
