Residents asked to stay indoors after wild bear enters Indian town

Forest officials have advised residents of Ooty in South India to stay indoors after a bear entered their town.

Morning walkers spotted the bear on the terrace of a house after the continuous barking of a stray dog drew their attention.

They informed local forest officials, who came to the spot and are now tracking the bear.

In the meantime, officials have advised the residents to stay indoors as the bear is aggressive.
