Trump: Planes Are Becoming 'Too Complex,' 'I Don't Want Albert Einstein To Be My Pilot'

President Trump weighed in on the advancements in the airline industry.

In the wake of the deadly Ethiopian Airlines plane crash, President Trump tweeted Tuesday that planes are becoming "too complex."
"Airplanes are becoming far too complex to fly," Trump wrote. "Pilots are no longer needed, but rather computer scientists from MIT."
"I see it all the time in many products," he continued. "Always seeking to go one unnecessary step further, when often old and simpler is far better. Split second decisions are needed, and the complexity creates danger. All of this for great cost yet very little gain. I don't know about you, but I don't want Albert Einstein to be my pilot. I want great flying professionals that are allowed to easily and quickly take control of a plane!"
His tweets come as Boeing faces worldwide scrutiny following the disaster.
"Britain, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and Oman banned all Boeing 737 Max 8 planes from their airspaces on Tuesday, two days after 157 people were killed on such a plane during a flight from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to Nairobi, Kenya," notes the New York Times.
