Blue-Ringed Octopus Camouflages When Kept on a Twig
  • 5 years ago
This baby blue-ringed octopus was kept on a twig to see if it shows its camouflaging abilities. It camouflaged by hanging on to the twig's end as if it was a part of it. When the twig was lowered over a bowl of seawater, the octopus jumped into it turning into a brilliant orange color with iridescent blue rings indicating that it felt threatened.
