The Election Commission of India did not actually say that but it did throw the grand Indian election season open, announcing the dates for Lok Sabha election 2019.the 2019 general election will be held in seven phases. The first phase of voting will take place on April 11 while the last phase will be held on May 19. The results of the election will be announced on May 23.At a press conference in New Delhi, Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora said that around 90 crore people have been registered as voters for the 2019 general election. These include 1.5 crore new voters in the age group of 18 to 19.

निर्वाचन आयोग ने आम चुनाव का बिगुल फूंक दिया है। आयोग ने लोकसभा की कुल 543 सीटों पर 7 चरणों में चुनाव का ऐलान किया है। 11, 18, 23, 29 अप्रैल एवं 6, 12 और 19 मई को चुनाव होंगे। सभी चरणों की वोटिंग की गिनती एक साथ 23 मई को होगी। 22 राज्यों और केंद्र शामित प्रदेशों में एक चरण में ही मतदान होगा। इसके साथ ही आयोग ने आंध्र प्रदेश, ओडिशा, अरुणाचल प्रदेश एवं सिक्किम में विधानसभा चुनावों का भी ऐलान किया। यहां लोकसभा की वोटिंग के साथ विधानसभा के लिए भी मतदान कराया जाएगा।
