Satisfying footage of burning plastic pen dripping balls of fire

An Australian scientist used a gas torch to ignite a black plastic pen, showing the ink burning as it drips as balls of fire, in this curiously mesmerising clip.

The video, filmed on February 27 in New South Wales, shows the smoke and burning ink in slow motion, as the plastic in the pen melts and congeals under the blistering heat.
