NGT imposes Rs 500 cr penalty on Volkswagen

In a big setback for Volkswagen, the national green tribunal (NGT) has imposed a penalty of Rs 500 crore s on the German car maker. The company has been fined for installing cheat devices in its cars and causing harm to the environment.
