JNU Row: Delhi top cop BS Bassi says NIA can take over the probe

5 days after India witnessed shocking scenes in capital's JNU campus, the case has taken a massive twist. Delhi police chief BS Bassi has told NewsX that he has contacted the NIA over the case & the anti-terror agency can take over the investigation. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh too has hinted at a bigger plot by saying that the anti-india event in JNU has been backed by Lashkar Chief Hafiz Saeed.

So, is the government probing a bigger conspiracy behind the anti-india event in the capital & investigate if students had any link to terror organisations. But, the opposition has hit out at the government for dragging the NIA into the case. The Congress & the JD(U) say that NIA is responsible to tackle terrorism and not misguided youth.
