Speeding Audi kills IAF officer: West Bengal Government forms SIT to probe Hit & Run

West Bengal Government has formed an SIT to probe the Hit & Run in which an Air Force Officer lost his life. NewsX reporter Payal Mehta went to the accident site & reconstructed the sequence of events which led to the fatal accient. Military Police has also constituted a team to probe the hit and run case . Sources say that they would be coordinating with police but would also submit a separate report to MOD.

An airman, Abhimanyu Gaud, busy with preparations for the Republic Day, was hit and killed by a speeding Audi car at Red Road in Kolkata. The driver then tore off the temporary number plates and fled the scene. The luxury car belonged to TMC leader Mohammad Sohrab's son Ambia Sohrab. The police remain tightlipped.
