In a surprising development, the Government has recommended the prosecution of Subramanian Swamy over hate speech in his Book Terrorism India. The Home Ministry alleged that the Book incited violence between Hindus and Muslims. The statement was made during a hearing for a case filed in Supreme Court by Swamy who had asked for the revocation of the sections regarding hate speech in IPC.
