Getting threat calls for past one year, says Chetana Thirthahalli film-maker from Bengaluru

A woman film-maker from Bengaluru has been threatened with rape and acid attack by fundamentalists on her Facebook page for endorsing Beef consumption and questioning Hindu practices. That's right, Chetana Thirthahalli, a scriptwriter and associate director of Kannada movies had recently participated in a rally in Bengaluru endorsing Beef consumption.This led to a heated debate between Chetana, her supporters and those opposed to her views on various Social Media platforms and since then several individuals posted messages on her Facebook account threatening to rape her. A few others threatened to disfigure her by throwing acid on her face.
